The college has witnessed four decades of excellence from the faculty and students who have given their best.

The students of the college are encouraged to acquire leadership roles by exposure to and interaction with leading experts and academicians from government and non-government bodies through seminars, workshops, and cultural shows. This helps in bridging the gap between the rural background of majority of the students and the professional world waiting outside for them. As an example of our commitment to social responsibility, the NSS unit of the college is actively involved in working for the welfare of adjoining villages. Our NSS volunteers have also participated in national level parades. The college has numerous scholarship schemes for the students from diverse socio-economic backgrounds to be part of academia.

With the emphasis on research and collaboration with various government funding agencies and corporate bodies, the faculty members are exposed to multiple windows of opportunities to hone their research acumen. The administrative staff have endeavored relentlessly to help students by facilitating a smooth transition from school to college.
